Painted Faces

Smiles on their faces
Long silk hair weaved with laces
Crystaled eyes and hourglass figures
Sweet looks that hold no answers
I watch them dance and play all day
For they would only wish me away
You cannot love someone like me
I don't have those faces I envy
Each day I hope and I cry
Will you one day see and try?
I can love you as well as they
But I'm too scared by what you might say
So I hide this face of such horror
And my heart dies at every look in the mirror
I want to love you forever
But this scared face won't let us be together
Look at their beautifully painted faces
And memories of love in past places
Sweet smells of skin pressed
Sweat of skin being caressed
I watch them dance and play
And again night has taken over day
I weep and lay in the winters cold
As I wait for dreams of you untold
