Dry Tears

Have you ever seen a dry tear?
I have and it's my worst fear
A dry tear comes from loneliness
It builds within your sad heart
All the dark nights I've spent wondering why
Love has made itself look evil in my eyes
So when someone tells me they love me
I'm sure that it's just a lie
Sometimes I wish I was a star burning bright in the midnight sky
For they have no fears
I've never once seen a star cry
But now things have changed and yet I still wonder why
I've been through so much pain
So much lost time
And you have always kept me from crying
You give me the bright side to my problems
And you let me know that there's more than one way to solve them
When we fight count to three and let your mind breathe
And take the time to see that you were meant for me
As long as the tide turns in
And the sun falls but rises again
As long as this old cowboy stays breathing
You will never have to worry about me leaving
As long as the grass grows and dies
You will always be beautiful in my eyes
No more fear now that you are here
For I know that I will never see another DRY TEAR!
